NotesHead to the South East Farallon Islands during Fall when thousands of marine mammals congregate to breed and calve their young. This natural occurrence attracts some of the largest Great White Sharks in the world over an 8 week period. The shark encounter is run by expert crews with an emphasis on respect for the animals encountered and their marine environment. No diving experience is necessary and all equipment is provided on the day as well as breakfast, lunch, drinks and snacks. All shark diving will be surface supplied or "Hookah" only. Each cage accommodates 4 divers at a time and rotations last approximately 30 minutes alternating throughout the day. During the shark diving expedition, decoys are used to attract Great White Sharks to the surface and the cage. This method of shark diving has proven very successful and is generally accepted for use inside a Marine Sanctuary.
Activity Restrictions- This experience is suitable for age 13 and upwards.
